A man died after a motorbike collided with a car on the accident-prone link road in the southernmost Atoll Addu late Saturday.
The yet unidentified middle aged man was riding the motorbike when it collided with the car. A Hithadhoo regional hospital official said the man had died when he was brought to the hospital.
According to sources, the driver and two passengers in the car were also being treated for various injuries after the accident.
Accidents on Addu’s link road occur quite frequently resulting in multiple fatalities each year.
