Maldives coast guard on Monday located the local fishing boat, two days after it was reported missing.
The local fishing boat had embarked on its journey at 18:00hrs on Friday.
The defense force's marine rescue and search unit had confirmed the vessel was last contacted via satellite phone on Saturday around 18:10hrs.
The vessel which had 25 locals on-board was on its way back to dock after attending technical issues on its engine.
The coast guard had used a helicopter in the search to locate the missing vessel.
