The capital of Maldives - Male' City - is set to welcome two well known international franchises in 2018.
Globally recognized Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) and Pizza Hut are expected to open doors to anticipated local customers sometime in the current year.
Both franchises will be opening at the Male' Grand square situated at Ameenee Magu - with Pizza Hut's signboard already put up on the venue it would be using to cater for fast-food enthusiasts.
The two are among a myriad of international franchises attached to local corporate acts, to open for service in Maldives in yet undisclosed dates.
Future franchises expected to open shop includes Burger King and The Coffee Club - in Male' City - while the pavilion at Rasfannu will house Australia's chain "Gloria Jean's Coffees."
