President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has met with several foreign ambassadors who accepted the state's extended invitation to take part in a government initiated workshop from March 30 till April 2.
According to President's Office, president Yameen met with the ambassadors on Monday morning. In his meeting with the ambassadors, president Yameen asserted the government aimed to achieve all of its development goals in a constructive and long-lasting manner.
President Abdulla Yameen highlighted the government aims to fully consider climatic changes for the developmental projects; and aim to reduce damages sustained to these projects over climatic changes.
The Maldivian head of state had also discussed several obstacles and challenges faced by government and authorities with regards to planned projects.
While many of the ambassadors attended to participate in the second commission for discussing long-lasting developmental changes to Maldives arranged by Foreign Ministry, the full detail of the meeting was not disclosed.
However according to Foreign Ministry, the ambassadors from Zimbabwe, Zambia, Nigeria, Georgia and Albania to United Nations had attended the meeting.
