BML to open longer than other banks during Ramadan

Maldives' main bank, Bank of Maldives on Wednesday announced it will support its customers with longer hours and more services than other banks during Ramadan.

All of the Bank’s Male-based branches will open from 10.00am to 2.00pm, while other branches will operate from 10.30am to 1.00pm, BML said in a statement.

The statement said the bank's 35 Self-Service Banking Centres will continue to offer customers the opportunity to deposit, withdraw and transfer cash 24 hours a day while Cash Agents on all inhabited islands will also be available to provide cash withdrawal services to BML customers during Ramadan.

Also with the recent launch of online applications via Internet Banking, customers can also apply for a range of products and services from the convenience of their own home.

“With longer branch working hours than other banks in Male’ and a strong service in the atolls, Bank of Maldives will provide a high standard of support during Ramadan," BML's retail banking head, Moosa Nimal said.

"Our customers can of course continue to bank around the clock using our online services, our network of 35 Self Service Banking Centres located across the country and our Contact Centre.”
