TC Sports Club's 'loud' start at Dhivehi Premier League

TC Sports Club roared at the Dhivehi Premier League kick-off game with a tremendous 6 - 1 win against Faafu atoll Nilandhoo.

The premier game saw TC Sports Club's Ibrahim Mahdi Hussain managing a hat-trick against their opponents in Friday's game.

Coming at second during the last two Premier Leagues TC Sports Club started their new season stronger by roping in star-footballer Ali Ashfaq (Dhagandey) after New Radiant's contract closed down.

Ali Ashfaq, arguably the best footballer to rise from the Maldivian football field, signed on to TC Sports Club after a visible discord with his former club New Radiant over outstanding payments.

The team score their first goal during the sixth minute of the game against Nilandhoo, by Ishan Ibrahim.

Ashfaq scored his debut goal for TC Sports Club two minutes after the lead-taker goal.

The game's hat-trick maker Ibrahim Mahdi scored his first goal of the game during the 16th minute putting the score 3 - 0 while Ashfaq scored his second and TC Sports Club's fourth goal by the end of first half.

Mahdi went on to score his second goal of the game by the 56th minute and after several clear shots to the goal failing, TC managed their sixth goal during the 76th minute; Mahdi's hat-trick.

Nilandhoo's goal comes as a result of an own goal from TC when the team's player Mohamed Azzam failed to intercept the ball properly.
