The young man who has been missing in Alif Dhaal Atoll Fenfushi island since Saturday has been found at sea by the Maldives coastguard.
The 29 year old man, now identified as Adnan was reported missing by his family on Sunday.
The family had searched neighbouring islands for Adnan who was believed to have gone out to sea in a small dinghy.
Coastguard spokesperson captain Ibrahim Azim said Adnan was found by a local boat around 7pm on Monday.
He was on the dinghy but was "alive and well," Azim said.
