Coastguard on Monday launched an aerial search for the fisherman who has been missing for four days.
The yet unidentified local fishermen fell overboard while out fishing near Alif Dhaal Atoll Vilamendhoo resort on Friday.
Coastguard aided by the police had launched a search for the man based on current and weather conditions while a dive robot had also been used since Sunday.
A coastguard spokesperson vowed to use every resource at its disposal adding that a seaplane would now be deployed in the search.
