Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has commenced the land reclamation work to develop a large scale parking zone for vehicles traveling across Sinamale' bridge to Hulhumale'.
An official of MACL speaking with Avas Online confirmed the reclamation project will conclude within a month.
The parking zone is expected to stretch to a space of 34,000 square feet with part of the reclamation carried at Hulhumale' lagoon.
The project is carried out by Dubai based Gulf Cobbler that had executed the development of Velana International Airport's (VIA) new runway and new seaplane terminal.
Meanwhile the contractors of the previously dubbed 'China-Maldives Friendship Bridge' are stepping up to finish all ground-works attached to the bridge by next month as the grand opening is slated for September.
