CSC denies forced re-registration claims

Civil Service Commission (CSC) on Wednesday denied accusations by opposition over government elites and senior officials forcing civil servants to re-register at specific ballot stations.

The commission's statement claimed such a case of government misconduct as accused by opposition has not been lodged adding they have not been notified about any coercion in re-registration.

CSC had also ensured necessary disciplinary action will be taken against any individual violating voting re-registration process by coercing government employees accordingly if cases are properly lodged with them.

Furthermore CSC noted they had circulated guidelines for government employees regarding limitations of political involvement and advised civil servants to adhere by it.
