Opposition coalition assures Maldives will remain an Islamic nation

The opposition coalition's running-mate Faisal Naseem assured Maldives will retain its full Islamic status under an opposition run government.

Speaking at the ceremony to commemorate the 10 year anniversary to Jumhooree Party, Naseem said Maldives have long enjoyed a peaceful and just society. However, the opposition running-mate bemoaned the island nation in recent years have been struggling against injustice.

The opposition running-mate claimed that the Maldives public will always be true to their Islamic faith and assured under an opposition run government the island nation will retain its Islamic faith.

In his speech Faisal stressed Maldives public has been yearning for a just government, assuring the opposition coalition will be the answer the people seek.
