Maldives president Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom is set to visit Haa Dhaal atoll Kulhudhuffushi and Nolhivaram to celebrate the closing ceremonies few projects initiated in the islands.
President Yameen is first expected to visit Nolhivaram on Wednesday and attend the official inauguration ceremony of the island's harbor.
Following his visit to Nolhivaram, president Yameen is expected to grace Kulhudhuffushi around Wednesday afternoon. He will attend the ceremony to mark the conclusion of road development project as well as the shoreline protection initiative carried in the island.
The airport development project at Kulhudhuffushi has been expected to conclude in August. However, due to several unprecedented circumstances the conclusion of the airport project has extended.
In a bid to rally support before the crunch presidential elections president Abdulla Yameen is frequenting the atolls of Maldives while attending closing ceremonies of various projects initiated in these islands.
President Yameen recently concluded his trip to Thaa atoll of which he visited seven of the atolls inhabited islands.
