Violent confrontation at Male' City on Saturday evening turned brutal with one attacked with a sharp implement believed to be a knife.
Maldives Police Service confirmed that a local was attacked around 21:25hrs on Saturday evening. The victim was rushed to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) for medical emergency.
Police refused to disclose any further details regarding the case.
Reports place the incident near Iskandhar School - central area of Male' City. The victim received knife wounds to his head along with several other injuries.
