The most coveted and biggest fair in Maldives will undoubtedly be noted as Hotel Asia Fair. But the same fair will not become complete if Best Buy Maldives (BBM) is not said in the same breath as the fair.
Since 2000, the annually held exhibition organized by Maldives Exhibition and Conference Services (MECS), mainly uses product lines retailed by Best Buy Maldives in the fair's International Culinary Challenge segment.
BBM also contributes heavily to the fair by sponsoring some of the most prestigious titles awarded in the culinary challenge.
Several culinary enthusiasts, chefs are selected through the challenge to further groom them into becoming professional chefs. Similarly several locally employed chefs found their way into international training sessions and workshops last year through the Hotel Asia Fair.
BBM without losing their streak will once again exhibit in the next Hotel Asia Fair scheduled from September 9 until 12.
