Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has operated on the Dhuvaafaru stab victim after he was brought to Maldives capital Male' City over worsening health condition.
The 21 year old individual received stab attacks to seven places on his body, and was initially transferred to the island's medical center for treatment.
An official speaking from Dhuvaafaru hospital confirmed a youth was rushed in for medical treatment however, due to the serious nature of injuries the individual was transferred to Male' City for further medical attention.
IGMH confirms they have performed an operation on the stab victim and was transferred to patient ward. The hospital however, added that though the operation was successful the stab victim was still under medical observation.
