Police have arrested four more suspects in connection to the stabbing attack on a young man in the southernmost Addu City on Saturday.
The 22 year old victim now identified as Mohamed Evan was stabbed multiple times after a clash broke-out between two groups in Maradhoo island.
The victim has since been brought to the capital Male where he had undergone emergency surgery.
Police on Sunday had arrested six suspects which it said were aged between 17 and 26 years.
The victims had suffered stab injuries to the neck and head, hospital sources said.
