A 24 year old man was stabbed in the capital Male on Wednesday amid a recent spate of stabbing attacks in the country.
Police said the man was stabbed just past noon on Wednesday and had been rushed to the state-run Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).
However, the extent of his injuries remains unclear.
The latest incident is the third attack in less than a week which appear to be gang related.
A man was stabbed multiple times in a brutal attack in the capital Male on Monday evening while another was stabbed in the southernmost Atoll Addu City on Saturday.
