Maldives to shape foreign policy in its 'best interest'

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih's foreign policy is formulated around the best interest of the country and its people, said Foreign Minister, Abdulla Shahid on Wednesday.

The Maldives will strengthen bi-lateral relations with all foreign countries who conform to the international guidelines and are interested in maintaining ties with the Maldives, said the Minister while speaking at the familiarization program held for diplomats representing Maldives.

The Minister stressed on the importance of keeping in mind that those fulfilling diplomatic appointments are servants of the Maldivian people.
