A Sri Lankan expatriate has been arrested over the killing of a fellow countrymen at Ellaidhoo Resort in Alif Dhaal Atoll.
Police spokesperson said the knife wielding brawl occurred between two Sri Lankans working at the resort on Thursday evening where one had been stabbed to death.
The 24 year old unidentified Sri Lankan was pronounced dead shortly after the incident.
Police said the 39 year old man involved in the brawl had been arrested and remain under police custody in Mahibadhoo island in the same Atoll.
