A Sri Lankan expatriate was stabbed to death on Thursday after a brawl with another expat at Ellaidhoo Resort in Alif Dhaal Atoll.
Police confirmed that the incident was reported just before 10pm on Thursday.
Police spokesperson said the knife wielding brawl occurred between two Sri Lankans working at the resort.
She added that the victim had been rushed to the hospital in Mahibadhoo island in the same Atoll.
The man however, had already succumbed to his injuries before he was taken to the medical unit at the resort.
