An expatriate was attacked with a sharp object in Foakaidhoo, Shaviyani atoll.
According to the police, the expatriate was assaulted on Sunday by another foreigner. A 43-year old Bangladeshi national was arrested in connection to the incident, and has been remanded by the court for 15 days.
While the police did not reveal details of his injuries, the police assured that further investigation into the matter is ongoing.
