Ooredoo bags Best Investor Relations award

Telecom giant, Ooredoo Maldives has been titled the Best Investor Relations company in the Maldives.

Najeed Khan, CEO of the company said it is a great honor and prestige to receive such an award. With this award, the company believes the commendable work done by their investor relation team has been recognized. He thanked their investors for the trust and support they had in the company, and assured of continued efforts in maintaining the close relationship with their investors.

Shares of Ooredoo Maldives were officially listed on Maldives Stock Exchange during August 2017, through the largest and most successful IPO in Maldives. 14,045,260 shares were bought by 8257 investors through the Ooredoo IPO, generating a revenue of MVR 421,357,800, accounting for 9.5% of company shares. The IPO, where 8257 Maldivian investors took part, attracted 6000 new participants to the Maldives Stock Exchange, which itself is a notable achievement. Ooredoo became the largest listed company in Maldives, with the largest free float-adjusted market capitalization on the Maldives Stock Exchange.
