An oil tanker ran aground near the south channel of Gulhifalhu on Sunday.
The vessel, "Trans Fuel" grounded at the northern channel light beacon of the reclaimed land. The marine police were active at the scene, although attempts to obtain further information regarding the incident by AVAS has been unsuccessful.
The oil tanker belongs to a fleet of vessels from oil company, "Green Box".
