A seven year old child has fallen from the second floor of a building in southernmost Addu City's Maradhoo island on Friday.
The child sustained serious injuries in the incident and is currently being treated in the Intensive Care Unit of Hithadhoo Regional Hospital.
A media official from Hithadhoo Regional Hospital revealed that the child had suffered head injuries and is in critical condition. The patient will be flown to capital Male' City for further treatment sometime tonight.
The doctors recommend immediate transfer to Male' City, and therefore, a chartered flight has been arranged to carry the child. The expenses will be covered under state health-care, Aasandha.
