Newly established Manta Air officially began operation on Sunday.
The domestic airline kicked off their services with special fares which can be booked until 31st May through their website and authorized sales agents.
Under the "Saver" and "Super Saver" package, one way tickets to Dh. Kudahuvadhoo may be purchased at MVR 749, which is the only destination the airline is currently flies to. Four flights will be operated to the airport daily.
Manta informed that if a passenger misses a flight, a seat can be arranged on the next available flight. The airline also offers private chartering service.
An ATR 72-600 model plane is being used by Manta Air for their operations. The plane was brought to Maldives from Netherlands last November, while the airline is also working on acquiring a seaplane fleet.
Manta flights have two cabin classes; Sapphire Class and Comfort Class, both being classes that would offer more comfort to its passengers during flight.
The airline hopes to extend its services to Th. Thimarafushi and B. Dharavandhoo this December, when their second plane is added to their fleet.
