Maldives Police Service (MPS) have revealed that 13 people were arrested with drugs after a home in capital Male' was searched under a court order on Monday.
The operation was conducted based on a tip received by the Intelligence Unit of the police. 9 local men and 2 Maldivian women were arrested along with a Bangladeshi national during the raid, said the police.
During the operation, 31 rubber packets containing substances suspected to be drugs were discovered in the Galolhu-ward home. The Drug Enforcement Department of the Police are investigating the case further.
The police have conducted a series of raid operations in the recent weeks, arresting over 37 people last week.
