Maldives' pres sends Independence Day greetings to Bangladesh

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has extended felicitations to Bangladesh on the occasion of their 48th Independence Day.

Bangladesh became an independent nation on 26th March 1971.

In separate messages sent to Bangladesh President MD Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Haseena, President Solih sent warm greetings on the occasion to the government and people of Bangladesh on behalf of the Maldivian people, and acknowledged the age-old friendship shared between both countries. He also highlighted the common cultural affinities shared by the countries.

In his message, the President assured of continued efforts to maintain and strengthen the bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Maldives in the years to come.
