A survey has shown that Maldives in the second top travel destination for British tourists.
Statistics from booking website hometogo.com revealed the top destination small South Pacific island Bora Bora, followed closely by Maldives.
The survey noted although Maldives is known to be a luxury travel destination, the archipelago also offers affordable and budget holidays. Top activities offered in the Maldives include snorkeling, diving, with holiday-makers enjoying the vast beaches of the country's islands.
United Kingdom (UK) is one of the oldest market for Maldivian tourism. Statistic revealed by Tourism Ministry showed 114,988 British tourists traveled to the Maldives in 2018.
