An expatriate has been attacked and injured in an assault on Friday night.
The man was attacked with a sharp object near Salsa Royal Cafe’ in capital Male’ city during a dispute between two Bangladesh men around 11.27pm.
The police revealed that the injured man is being treated at state-run Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH). No further details on the attack were given by the police.
According to reports, the attacker was apprehended by the police while he attempted to flee after the attack.
