State Trading Organization (STO) has reviewed petrol and diesel prices in the Maldives for a second time this month.
The biggest importer of petrol in the Maldives, STO revised its petrol prices from MVR 11.61 a litre to MVR 11.39. Diesel prices were brought down from MVR 12.11 to MVR 11.97 per litre.
In a statement released by STO on Thursday, the company said the change in price is due to fluctuation of oil prices in the international market. The company further assured that their aim is to provide oil and diesel to their customers at the lowest possible prices.
The current price of a barrel of crude oil in the international market is USD 67.76.
