Homes in Kulhuduffushi island of Haa Dhaal atoll have been affected by flood water due to heavy rain fall.
Heavy rainfall was experienced nonstop from afternoon until evening on Tuesday in Kulhudhuffushi, which resulted in the roads and some homes being flooded.
While six houses were severely affected and received several damages, two of the houses had to be evacuated due to the extent of water damage. The island council is working to provide the necessary aid to the affected families.
Work is currently ongoing to recede flood waters in two of the areas that were most severely affected.
Bad weather is currently being experienced all over Maldives. According to the meteorology office, the weather is expected to worsen in the upcoming days.
