Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has revealed that complaints against three Supreme Court justices have been filed at the commission.
Speaking to the press on Tuesday, the commission revealed that they are looking into the actions of several judges, in addition to those of Supreme Court justice Abdulla Didi. A complaint against three additional Supreme Court justices have also been filed at the commission, they revealed.
However, no further details on the matter were divulged.
The statement comes after the commission on Monday denied reports that disciplinary cases against the three Supreme Court justices who overturned the controversial February 1st Supreme Court order were being looked into by the commission.
The landmark ruling ordered the release of nine political detainees and re-instated twelve lawmakers who had earlier lost their parliament seats.
However, the two judges who signed the order, then Chief Justice Abdulla Saeed and Justice Ali Hameed were subsequently arrested, after which the remaining judges of the Supreme Court nullified the ruling.
