Maldivian ambassador presents credentials to US President

Maldivian Ambassador to the United States Thilmeeza Hussain on Monday presented her credentials to the President of United States Donald Trump on behalf of the Maldivian government.

In a tweet posted by Thilmeeza following the ceremony, she thanked the US for the support given in strengthening the democracy in Maldives. She further acknowledged and thanked the US for reaffirming the close ties between both countries in the recent months.

Thilmeeza has previously served as the Permanent Representative of the Maldives to the United Nations and Ambassador of the Maldives to the United States and Canada.
