Governments of Maldives and Seychelles have signed seven MOUs of cooperation.
The MOUs were signed during President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First lady Fazna Ahmed's ongoing State Visit to the Republic of Seychelles on the invitation of Seychelles President Danny Faure.
Seven MOUs were signed to facilitate cooperation in sports, blue economy, fisheries, vocational training for youth, foreign ministry cooperation, tourism development, cooperation in climate change in addition to a general cooperation agreement.
The agreements were signed by the Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid on behalf of the Maldivian government. In addition to signing agreements, discussions on taking the bilateral friendship of the two countries to new heights will take place during the visit.
President Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed attended a state banquet hosted by the President of Seychelles, Danny Faure, as honoured guests. President and First lady would be visiting famous sites of Seychelles on this visit.
The president is being accompanied by three cabinet ministers.
