Italy's Baglioni Hotels opens first resort in Maldives

Italy's 'Baglioni Hotels' chain has opened their first resort in the Maldives.

Baglioni Resort Maldives, developed in Maagau island of Dhaalu atoll boasts 99 villas, including beach and water villas. The resort has three Presidential villas of 1230 square feet, designed to include private pools and a large Jacuzzi pool.

Located 40-minute by seaplane from the capital, the resort also has family beach villas with access to private beach.

Offering an array of food and drink, the resort has a pool bar & grill and three restaurants serving gourmet dishes, including Italian and Japanese tastes and international cuisine.

Over 140 resorts are currently in operation in the Maldives while 140 additional tourism properties are being developed. 12 new resorts opened in Maldives during the first quarter of the year.
