Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has commenced ferry services between islands in Faafu atoll.
MTCC said the ferry will be operated between Feeali island and Nilandhoo island, while route 406 will be between Bileddhoo, Magoodhoo, Dharanboodhoo and Nilandhoo island of the atoll. The ferries will operate on all days of the week except Friday.
While a ticket costs MVR 20, the ferry can seat 100 passengers. Bicycles and luggage can also be stored on the ferry during travel.
Earlier this month, MTCC expanded their ferry services to Dhaalu atoll.
