Foreign investors to take part in this year's Build Expo

Maldives National Association of Construction Industry (MNACI) has revealed that foreign investors will be taking part in this year's Buildex Maldives scheduled to take place on Thursday at Dharubaaruge.

MNACI's Secretary General Adnan Haleem informed 'AVAS' that contractors as well as investors will be participating in this year's Build Expo.

" This year, investors be taking part in the expo, which will give the opportunity for discussions on government's construction projects. Complimentary stalls have been allocated to government entities, through which information on government projects will be provided", Adnan said.

Adnan added that preparations for the fair are ongoing smoothly and a "full house" is expected during the expo.

"The message I want to give is to visit the exhibition and connect [with groups with mutual interests]. There will be contractors and investors present that you would like to work with," Adnan said.

Buildex Maldives is organized by Maldives Exhibition and Conference Services (MECS). MECS said that fair will officially kick off on the 22nd August until the 24th of August. Companies representing the construction industry and resort suppliers will take part in the expo. Buildex Maldives will promote businesses of the construction industry and expanding relations in different areas. Foreign countries taking part in the fair are Sri Lanka, India, Thailand, New Zealand, Malaysia, UAE and Italy.
