Tourism Minister Ali Waheed has traveled Malaysia to participate in the World Tourism Conference.
Tourism Ministry said the minister is scheduled to address at the conference on the invitation of the World Tourism Organization UNWTO.
The conference, named 'Beyond Tourism, Beyond Expectation' will be inaugurated by Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dr. Mahathir Mohamed.
Tourism Ministry said Minister Ali Waheed is also scheduled to meet with the President of Malaysia's Limkokwing University, of which the minister in an alumnus.
Malaysia is the country from which most number of tourists visit Maldives in the Asian region. 11,256 tourists from Malaysia have visited the Maldives thus far this year.
