Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid has departed to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia to attend a meeting held by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
The Foreign Ministry has revealed that Shahid flew to Jeddah in order to attend OIC's 'Council of Foreign Ministers Extraordinary Meeting scheduled for later Sunday.
According to a tweet regarding the meeting, Shahid had stated that the purpose of the meeting was to discuss the situation in the Occupied Palestine, and that Maldives will always be with Palestine in their struggle for self-determination.
