Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has revealed that a man involved in a motorcycle collision that took place in Seenu Maradhoo on Monday remains in critical condition.
The 55-year-old man was first treated at Maradhoo Regional Hospital, but was airlifted to the capital as his condition worsened.
IGMH said the man remains in critical condition at the ICU, and that treatment is ongoing with the help of ventilators. No further details were provided by the hospital.
The second driver involved in the accident was a 17-year-old unlicensed boy who fled the scene following the collision. He was later discovered by the police at Hithadhoo Regional Hospital where he was seeking treatment for the minor injuries sustained during the accident.
