An expatriate sustained injuries after falling from the first story of the cargo terminal under development at Velana International Airport (VIA).
Police said they received reports of a man falling from the first floor of the new cargo terminal Tuesday around 8:20 AM. The building is being constructed by Beijing Urban Construction (BUC) at the airport.
The injured man is reported to be a 27-year-old Bangladeshi. Airport First Aid informed that the man sustained several broken bones and had internal bleeding.
He has been shifted to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) for further treatment, and the matter is being investigated further.
