Manta Air welcomes first seaplane

The first seaplane of Manta Air's fleet has arrived in Maldives.

The seaplane flew from Canada to Maldives and arrived at Velana International Airport on Wednesday evening where it was welcomed with a water salute from MACL Fire Services.

The third seaplane operator in Maldives, Manta Air said the airline will be welcoming its second seaplane on Thursday. The seaplanes can carry up to 15 passengers, and are equipped with state of art technology. Manta Air said the seaplanes are considerably lighter than other seaplanes used in Maldives.
