Maldives Police Services stated that they are investigating injuries found on the body of young man who was found dead in a home in Male' city.
Police said they attended reports of a deceased man on Friday morning after his family reported the incident when the man did not wake up after sleep.
The police said the 28-year old man had foam around the mouth, and had a small cut on his forehead when he was found.
"The cut on his forehead was not deep enough to have caused his death. Our investigations thus far do not point that the wound was inflicted by another person", said the police.
The police are investigating the case further.
