Kanduhulhudhoo Health Centre has commenced laboratory services.
The services were introduced at the facility on Saturday. Health Ministry said all equipment required to begin laboratory services in Kanduhulhudhoo were sent to the island on September 22.
While Kanduhulhudhoo has a population of 500 people, the islanders have been seeking laboratory services at Gemanafushi Health Center and GDh. Gadhdhoo, which is 20 minutes away from the island.
Including Kanduhulhudhoo, six islands in GDh. atoll offer laboratory services. They are GDh Atoll hospital, Gemanafushi Health Centre, Dhaandhoo Health Centre, Dhevvadhoo and Kolamaafushi Health Centre.
