President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has appointed Mohamed Amir Ahmed (Fares Amir) as the Director General at the National Archives of Maldives.
He was appointed to the position under the National Archive's law empowering President Solih to make the decision.
Amir holds a Bachelor's degree in Dhivehi language. He has spent several years working in media and education sector, most recently working as the Director of Administration and Human Resources at Sun Media.
He also worked in the Environment Ministry during former President Mohamed Nasheed's administration.
