Two people have been injured after a ship launching air balloon exploded in industrial island Thilafushi on Monday.
Police said they received reports of the incident around 1721 hrs on Monday evening.
The accident injured two Bangladesh expatriates. Both individuals are being treated at state run Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital in capital Male'.
Ship launching airbags are used to launch large vessels to the sea. The police are investigating the incident further.
