Maldives Police Services have stated that there is no foul play in the death of the minor who hanged himself on Monday.
The police made the clarification after reports were made by local medias that said the family of the victim believed the circumstance of his death to be suspicious.
The 17-year old boy was found hanging in a residence in Henveiru ward of capital Male'. The police ruled out any foul play in his death.
The police said the family of the victim has made no statements to the media.
"The family has not raised any suspicions" said the police.
