'The govt has successfully achieved its academic goals for the year'

Education Minister Dr. Aishath Ali has stated that this is the year in which the largest amount of funds have been spent for the infrastructural development of schools.

In a message sent to mark the end of the academic year, Minister Aisha said the government has successfully achieved its academic goals for the year. Minister also said the largest amount of funds utilized for infrastructural development of school in a single year was spent this year.

The minister noted that several programs were conducted to enhance the educational and technological capacity of school employees. The programs have been beneficial for students, the minister said.

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih pledged to commence a school breakfast program within the first 100 days of administration, where students are provided with a healthy breakfast from their schools. Speaking on the program, the minister said the successful implementation of the program has contributed to the physical and mental growth of students. She also noted that the anti-bullying policies adopted at all schools in Maldives had brought about a positive change.

This year, great opportunities were granted to students with special needs under the current policy of inclusivity that the education system follows, said the minister.
