An expatriate has sustained serious injuries after falling from the 7th floor of a building.
Police said the man fell down the elevator shaft of a building in Maafannu ward of capital Male' while attempting to lower a washing machine down the shaft.
Police received reports of the incident at 1533hrs on Saturday.
The man is being treated at state-run Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).
