Dr. Shaheem ranked among 500 most influential Muslims

Former Islamic Minister Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed has been ranked among the 500 most influential Muslims.

The annual publication compiled by the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre in Amman, Jordan listed Shaheem in the category of 'Administration of Religious Affairs'.

Dr. Shaheem is currently employed at the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and is based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Before his appointment at OIC, he worked as the Chancellor at the Islamic University of Maldives.

Shaheem, who has also served as the country's Islamic Minister has worked towards the advancement of Islamic Studies in the Maldives through collaborations with foreign universities.
